Frequently Asked Questions
Please reach us at info@aroundabout.co.za if you cannot find an answer to your question.
If you’re planning on moving to a new home, it’s important to create an inventory list of everything that you need to move. This will help you stay organized and ensure that nothing gets lost or left behind. Furniture is one of the most important items to include on your list. Removal companies will often give you an estimate based on the size and weight of your furniture, so it’s important to have an accurate count. Make sure to include any large items like couches, beds, dressers, armoires, etc. Smaller items such as chairs, end tables, coffee tables, nightstands, etc. can often be packed together in boxes.
We also offer on-site surveys for bigger moves and office moves.
When Around About Removals provides a quotation for removals, we take into account the volume of goods to be moved, the distance of the move, and the type of goods being moved. We also take into account any special requirements that our customers may have. We understand that every move is different, and we aim to provide a personalised service that meets the specific needs of each customer. We are happy to discuss any requirements our customers may have and provide a tailored quotation accordingly.
Answer: There are a few different ways that your load will be protected in the truck. The first is through blankets. The blankets wrap around your belongings and prevent them from moving around too much. This helps to keep them safe from bumps and bruises. Secondly, specialized wrapping and packing can be used. This includes using bubble wrap or styrofoam peanuts to fill in any empty spaces. This ensures that there are no weak spots in the load that could cause damage. Finally, strapping down the load is important. This prevents it from shifting during transit and keeps it more secure. All of these methods work together to ensure that your belongings arrive at their destination safely and soundly!
Answer: You will receive your Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and date for your move approximately 3 days before the move. The ETA is the date that we anticipate your belongings will arrive at your new home. The day and time of your actual move may vary depending on a number of factors, but we will do our best to give you as much notice as possible so that you can plan accordingly.
